The trio composed by drums, bass and piano is a standard in the jazz music world.
The pianist plays beyond traditional rhythmical and harmonial rules. This freedom allows him to sing with his instrument whilst being supported by the rhythmics which interact with him, later becoming a solo itself.
Emilio Marinelli and Gabriele Pesaresi are playing piano and double bass respectively; these two jazz musicians from the Marche region who have countless collaborations with prestigious artists in Italy and abroad (such as KENNY WHEELER, MARIA SCHNEIDER, BOB BROOKMEYER, FABRIZIO BOSSO, MASSIMO MANZI and ENRICO RAVA amongst others) are here reinventing themselves, with the involvement of a young drummer with a particular style – John Michael Mawushie. The result is a lively, unusual rhythmic project, enriched by the employment of electronic elements.
The research for new “possible” solutions, exploring far beyond the unique concept of “Jazz”, is the main engine of this Trio, whose aim is to take the listener on a journey of exploration inside and out any stylistic convention or music path.
